In 1963, the doors opened to the newly formed business of Jim’s Paneling and Plywood, located just west of Oconto Falls. Based on an idea given to them by their son-in-law, Jim and Edna Dingeldein set out to fill a retail void they saw in Oconto County and surrounding areas. Originally located ½ mile east of the current location, the business was eventually moved to its current location and in 1978, Jim and Edna’s son, Jack, purchased the business. From there, Jack successfully grew the business, adding lumber, roofing, siding, millwork, building materials etc., and became a full-service lumberyard. In 2019, after 41 years, the business was purchased by the current owner, Leon Ratzkewitsch, to carry on the hard work and dedication that started it all almost 60 years ago!
